Born of Portuguese parents in Latin America in 1959, he came to Portugal,or rather to the island of Madeira, where he lived, working mostly as a car salesman. Among other activities he has been a rally driver, followed by such seafaring porsuits as yachting and deep-sea-fishing. At the age of 50 he began a course of flying lessons, yet to be concluded. He subsequently opted for a radical change and moved to the island of Porto Santo, where he currently lives in a tiny house on Penedo Beach.
